Data Deletion Instructions

Overview

SoundOps respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from our platform, including any data obtained through third-party integrations such as Facebook and Instagram (Meta).

1. Deleting Your SoundOps Account

To delete your entire SoundOps account and all associated data:

1. Send an email to privacy@soundops.io from the email address associated with your account
2. Include the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
3. Include your account name or tenant/site name for identification

We will process your request within 30 days. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed from our systems, including:

• Account and profile information
• Site configuration and content
• Uploaded media and files
• Contact/audience data
• Campaign and analytics data
• All connected third-party account tokens and data

2. Disconnecting Instagram / Facebook

If you only want to remove the connection between SoundOps and your Instagram/Facebook account (without deleting your SoundOps account):

From SoundOps:

1. Log in to your SoundOps admin panel
2. Navigate to Instagram → Accounts
3. Click the disconnect/remove button next to the account you want to remove

This will immediately:

• Delete the stored access token
• Remove all Instagram messages and comments associated with that account (subject to 30-day TTL)
• Stop all scheduled posts and automation rules for that account
• Remove webhook subscriptions

From Facebook/Instagram:

You can also revoke access directly from Meta:

1. Go to your Facebook Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites
2. Find SoundOps in the list of connected apps
3. Click Remove to revoke all permissions

3. Deleting Data Obtained from Meta

If you want us to delete all data we have received from Facebook or Instagram about you or your account:

1. Send an email to privacy@soundops.io
2. Include the subject line: "Meta Data Deletion Request"
3. Include the Instagram username or Facebook Page name associated with the data

We will delete all Meta-sourced data within 30 days, including:

• Instagram account connection details and encrypted access tokens
• Direct messages and conversation history
• Comments and engagement data
• Scheduled and published post records
• Automation rule configurations tied to the account
• Analytics data derived from Instagram metrics

4. Automatic Data Deletion

Certain data is automatically deleted as part of our data retention policies:

• Instagram messages — automatically deleted after 30 days (MongoDB TTL index)
• Instagram comments — automatically deleted after 30 days (MongoDB TTL index)
• Cached Instagram media — automatically deleted after 30 days (S3 lifecycle rules)

5. Confirmation

After processing your deletion request, we will send a confirmation email to the address on file. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, please contact us again.
